1．This is to inform you that following below are mandatory requirements of Pakistan customs for acceptance of Import General Manifest (IGM).
(1)Full style Shipper/ Consignee addresses with Phone & Fax numbers. (2)H.S. CODE "Harmonized System Code" For further information please go to the below web. http://www.foreign-trade.com/reference/hscode.htm

(3)ISO CODE for Container
(4)Gross Weight, Net Weight, Tare weight ( Separately required for each Container)
(5)UNDG CODE & Marks and Numbers in case of ( Hazardous Cargo)
(6)Number of packages of each container with packing (Like Bags, Carton, Bundles etc.) Please note all above are mandatory requirements and must be shown on the B/L's body in order to avoid any penalty imposed by Customs We append below the instructions received from Pakistan Customs for your information and prompt action. Fyi, All PACCS (Pakistan Customs Computerized System) rules will be applicable from August, 23, 2006 at all ports KICT.PICT,QICT & KARACHI PORT. 2．Cargo information shall be filed online till twentyfour ( 24 ) hours prior to the ETA. In cases where the port of loading for the index is Dubai, Jebel Ali, Khorfakkan, Salalah, Fujairah, Bandar Abbas, Mumbai, Nhavasheva, Mundra, Kandla and Mina Qaboos, cargo information may be filed till eighteen (18) hours prior to the ETA. 3．For cargo destined to AFGHANISTAN, the port of exit from Pakistan shall be mentioned in the data field of via as TORKHAM OR CHAMMAN. 4．Un-manifested cargo not to be landed :- Cargo that is not manifested shall not be allowed to be offloaded in Pakistan. 5．Copy of packing list and Invoice of the cargo to be placed inside the Container at the port of loading prior sealing. 6．We would therefore request you to kindly ensure sending freight manifest duly complete in all respect 48 hours prior arrival of the vessel at Karachi enabling us to prepare our manifest and lodge with customs in time. Any failure to do so will be entirely at port of loading risk and cost (Circular Memo e-mail dated 8/23/2006 & e-mail dated 12/12/2006 Pakistan’s Agency)
