(a)Issuance of ocean Bs/L "TO ORDER" remain the same as they are being issued today. Exact copies of veterinary certificates are still required to allow discharging.
(b)To discharge cargo under nominative Bs/L the following two variants are
acceptable: presentation of exact copy of veterinary certificate or presentation of a copy of ocean B/L with veterinary certificate nro.
mentioned on Bs/L's body..
(c)In case of discrepancy between the original veterinary certificate number and the number mentioned in Carrier's Bs/L, the authorities can hold the line liable for informing wrong data, therefore, booking and bs/l issuing agents are required to be extremely carefully with correctness of the veterinary certificate Nro. to be mentioned in Bs/L.
(d)The right way to include the certificate reference into BL body description is :
"VETERINARY CERTIFICATE NRO: XX/XXX"
(e)ALL Consignee and Notify details placed within BDS on the booking contain a valid telephone number for the destination country in order to assist with the smooth completion of the Shipment once arrived. It is also imperative that full address of Consignee and Notify is entered to BDS file.
